Introducing

Looks protocol

A visual addressing protocol

If you can see me, you can talk to me.

Looks01 / 12

Our ability to connect online is incomplete.

We can talk instantly to a friend across the world.

But a stranger sitting a few tables away is out of reach.

Why?

Looks02 / 12

Every message needs an address.

We always need an email, phone number, profile name.

We have no way to address someone we can see, but do not know.

The address everyone  can see: your look.

The clothes you wear, the colours, the accessories you carry, together they make you unique wherever you are.

This can be used as the address to deliver a message just for you.

Looks04 / 12

With your look set as your address, you can receive a message wherever you can be seen.

A vision model searches nearby looks — 100% match across many garment details

If the address matches a nearby user, the message is delivered.

Why now: AI vision.

For us it is easy to recognize the same
person in a different environment.

For computers this used to be a very hard problem.

AI vision models are now able to do this reliably.

Seeing every button and fold, AI resolves your look
as a unique address and delivers your message.

Privacy by design.

Receive messages without revealing any personal information.

You always need to opt in first by setting your look as your address.

The Looks address lives no longer than your current outfit.

Looks address images are never shared between users.

Looks does not need biometrics or facial recognition.

Built for a world of intelligent devices.

Let your smart doorbell update your look whenever you walk out of the door.

Tell your vision-enabled wearable to 'Send Hi to the guy with the hat on my left.'

Enable communication with and between robots through visual distinction and Looks addressing.

Fully adopted, Looks broadens our reach to everyone within view.

Until then, Looks can already work locally for selected groups.

Conferences can add a low-friction way to promote interaction.

Sellers can offer Looks as a way to engage them from a distance.

A new wearable can give an instant connection method for its users.

Adoption could go quick. What am I missing, is someone trying to contact me?
